Pre-Course Checklist
Complete these items before the course starts.
✅ Submit your information on the course page to receive your book and provide the teacher with information about your child.
✅ If you purchased live classes: Check out the class times on the live class scheduler. If the times don’t work for your schedule, message us from the chat button at the bottom right of any page, and we will add more times that work for you.
✅ If you purchased live classes: Enroll in live classes via the scheduler on the course page or through your navigation bar.
✅ Review the information on this page to ensure you understand how the course is run.
✅ Receive your book. If you entered your address on the intake form, your book is on the way!
Course Structure
The course book is at the heart of your child’s learning adventure in this course. Every page corresponds with a live class (can also be viewed as on-demand videos) or independent learning on-demand video lesson.
1. Live Classes (Also split into high-quality on-demand videos)
Throughout the 90-day course, we offer live classes in most weeks. To sign up for these classes, simply use the class scheduler, which you can access from your top navigation bar or directly from the course home page. If you're unable to find a class time that fits your schedule, please let us know. We're always happy to add more time slots to accommodate your needs.
If you miss a live class, wish to take the class on-demand, or would like to revisit the live class material:
Instead of just providing a lengthy 45-minute recording of each class, we've created a thoughtfully filmed and edited on-demand version. This version breaks down the live class into digestible, bite-sized segments, making it easier to understand and review specific parts of the class. You can find these segmented live class recordings in the course sections labeled 'Live Class'. Example live class recordings section:
2. Independent Learning
After every live class, students are encouraged to complete the independent learning portion of the chapter before their next class. In this section, Haley leads students through interactive activities and lessons in the workbook through engaging on-demand videos. As students progress through these lessons, their advancement is conveniently tracked at the top of the page. Additionally, a checkmark icon will appear on each lesson once it's completed. How To Use The Book
Finding A On-Demand Video Lesson
The book and on-demand video lessons go hand in hand. As your child progresses in the course, they will move through the book. If you want to find a video that goes with a particular page, locate the chapter and lesson number in the top left of each page and then find the video lesson with that number on your course progress page.
Page Information
Every page in the book has labels at the top that tell you what that page is for. The first label is the chapter and lesson number. The second label indicates if the page is done during class with the teacher or after class as independent learning. The third label contains the main keyword for what is learned on that page. The last label lets you know what type of lesson it is (e.g., trivia, experiment, outdoor activity, worksheet, etc).
Discussion Questions
Each chapter concludes with engaging discussion questions that highlight key concepts. Chat with your child using these questions to gain insight into their learning journey. Who knows, you might learn something new too!

Assessment
If you are interested in assessing what your child is learning, chapter 6 has over 20 questions you can use for this purpose. We use trivia to make assessments feel more like fun games than quizzes.
Bonus Classes
There are weeks in the course when there are no live classes for the core curriculum. These are great opportunities for your child to dive into their independent learning. However, we've also got some exciting elective classes available during these weeks! These classes are a fun way for students to learn about topics that interest them, guided by their favorite teachers, and with their teammates. You can sign up for these electives here.
Family Activities
There are fun activities scattered throughout the book. Look for pages with the label “After-class” at the top. Activities that are especially fun to do as a family are labeled experiments, creative activities, or outdoor activities.
Track Progress
You can track progress on the “on-demand lessons & progress” page in two ways. First, you can see overall progress as a progress bar. Second, you can see check marks on individual completed lessons.
Retake Classes
You can retake live classes for an entire year. Whether to review the material or just because your child liked the class, feel free to join any classes again.
